Prioritize durability and functionality to avoid future headaches.

2. Consider Maintenance When Choosing Countertops

With so many countertop options available, from laminate, to stone, to butcher block it’s easy to focus solely on appearance and price. However, it's equally important to consider the long-term maintenance requirements of each material. Some options require frequent upkeep, while others may need resealing or specialized cleaning. Be sure to inquire about these factors before making your final choice.

3. Be Cautious When Choosing a Farmhouse Sink

Farmhouse sinks, especially ceramic ones, often have the lowest quality control. We advise against purchasing these sinks from websites like Wayfair, where they can arrive damaged, uneven, or misaligned. Since a farmhouse sinks requires a cabinet custom-built to its specifications, it’s crucial to ensure it's level and in perfect condition before proceeding with installation.

4. Open Shelving in Kitchens
